Description:The lawsuit said that the couple both later passed a lie detector test when asked about the alleged intimacy. Winfrey, Miss Bumpus and other passengers were asleep "throughout the flight following their ingestion of sleeping pills", the lawsuit claims. A spokesman for Harpo Inc, Winfrey's production company, declined the newspaper's request for a comment. The lawsuit alleges that Mr Gooch made up the allegations after Miss Gehrls and Mr Pansing complained that he refused to work as the schedule dictated, instead trying to change the rota in order to fly back to Chicago and "attend to his cats", according to a report in the Chicago Tribune. The lawsuit alleges that Myron Gooch, a flight attendant, and Kirby Bumpus, the daughter of Winfrey's friend, Gayle King, and the star's goddaughter, accused Miss Gehrls and Mr Pansing of having sexual intercourse while the jet was on the ground to refuel and take on new crew. Miss Gehrls and Terry Pansing, a year-old pilot, were fired in June after being accused of "inappropriate intimate behaviour" on the flight.
