Description:Its not an easy task running a club or group, as its very much a case of "you can please most of the people most of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time". As one guy put it, a rut that they are in, and unlikely to come out of, due. There must be a significant number of potential members new blood if you like , that are put off from joining because of the stereo-typical image they portray, being one of competitions, anoraks, stuffy atmosphere, and a unwillingness to re-vamp their image. I should say that I have been invited by one local club, to come along to a couple of meetings, to see for myself, and as a courtesey I will of course do that.
